The anti-mosquito product segment is represented by several variants. The pleated system is one of the most popular types, despite being a relatively new development. The creation of this product – or more precisely, the improvement of existing models – is credited to Italian designers. Their goal was to develop a universal solution for windows of various sizes.
At the same time, the insect screen had to look elegant in order to harmoniously complement the interior design. The pleated model meets all these requirements. It is a robust aluminium structure filled with pleated mesh fabric.

Pleated insect screens differ from other types of insect screens in the way they close. They work on the accordion principle: when folded, the screen gathers into a thin strip. It does not interfere with the operation of either windows or doors at all. You can fold the net in different ways – horizontally or vertically.
The scope of application is wide. This sliding anti-mosquito system is suitable for:
- conventional and sliding windows;
- verandas and terraces;
- indoor swimming pools.
If you own a house with large or non-standard windows, a pleated net will be the best solution.
What sizes are possible for the insect screen in the W-PLS system?
The maximum width of the pleated screen is up to 4000 mm, and the maximum height is up to 2700 mm.
What colour can the W-PLS product have?
The profiles can be powder-coated in any colour from the RAL palette; the mesh fabric is dark grey.
